Terms and Conditions
I provide group (maximum 3 students) and one-to-one tuition in workshops and classes in making leather handbags and accessories, dressmaking, patchwork, quilting, appliqué, soft furnishings and seasonal projects.
My service will aim to provide you with tuition and help;
a) Using reasonable care and skill
b) In compliance with commonly accepted practices and standards.
All day workshops and classes will not include materials, unless otherwise agreed. All materials including fabric, leather and accessories will be provided at an extra cost, unless stated otherwise.
The workshops and classes will take place at my workshop at White Hart Cottage, Farm Lane, All Stretton, Church Stretton, SY6 6HL.
5. Days and Times
Unless stated otherwise, I will run the classes and workshops in accordance with the schedule of dates appearing on my website. In some cases, particularly one to one tuition, specific dates and times will be agreed.
6. Charges for Workshops and Classes
The normal charges are as follows:
I offer a weekly class on mornings, 10am – 12noon and evenings, 7pm – 9pm at a cost of £20 per 2 hour session. It is essential to book in advance as my space is limited.
All day workshops will run from 9.30am – 4.30pm and will cost £65. This includes tuition, some practice materials, homemade refreshments and lunch. Materials for individual projects will be extra and will be stated when advertising each workshop.

I accept payment by bank transfer or cheque. I ask for a 20% deposit on booking and must receive full payment seven days before any workshop or class.
I am a small business so you will understand that I cannot offer a refund or credit if you don’t turn up for a workshop (please don’t cause embarrassment by asking to do so). However, if you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone else in your place, providing it’s the same course.
8. Cancellation by you of a workshop
Cancellation by you is permitted on reasonable notice in writing and any fees paid will be refunded as follows:
a) More than 14 days beforehand – 100% refund
b) 7 to 14 days – 50% refund
c) Less than seven days notice – no refund
9. Cancellation by me
In the event that it is necessary for me to cancel a class or workshop, then you will be offered an alternative time and date convenient to us both.
10. Events outside our reasonable control
Such events might include weather conditions, materials not delivered or illness. In the event of cancellation/postponement, if there is a significant delay you will be given the option of cancelling in which case you will receive a full refund.

12. Legal matters
12.1. A contract between us will come into being:
a) when I receive payment; or
b) when we agree orally that the booking is confirmed.
12.2. The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law and an English Court shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
1.3. If you are unhappy with the service I provide I hope you will discuss any problems or issues with me first.
13. Gift voucher terms and conditions
Why not give one of my workshop gift vouchers? I will email your gift voucher to you, or the person specified as soon as your full payment has cleared.
The gift voucher is valid for one year and will expire 12 months after the date of issue.
You can redeem your gift voucher by emailing or telephone me to choose the course and date you prefer (see workshop page for details).
I cannot refund a gift voucher but would be happy for another person to use it.
I may collect information such as your name and contact details, together with preferences and interests. This information helps me to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.
